Wipro Limited, a technology services and consulting firm, has named Malay Joshi as the new Chief Executive Officer of its Americas 1 Strategic Market Unit, effective immediately. Malay, taking over from Srini Pallia who recently became the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wipro Limited, will also serve on the Wipro Executive Board.

Previously, Malay Joshi held the position of Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head at Wipro, overseeing sectors such as Communications, Media, Tech, Retail, Travel, Hospitality, and Public Services—some of Wipro’s most significant global business areas. In his prior role, he focused on spearheading enterprise transformations, enhancing customer experience, improving delivery frameworks, and maintaining revenue growth in his sectors.

“Malay Joshi has consistently driven strong growth, achieving the highest Compound Annual Growth Rate over the past decade among our global businesses,” commented Srini Pallia, CEO and Managing Director of Wipro Limited. “His deep industry knowledge and focus on client relationships uniquely qualify him to steer our Americas 1 strategic market and continue our trajectory of expansion,” Pallia added.

Malay began his career at Wipro in 1996 and has since taken on numerous key leadership roles. With a background in IT engineering, he is a graduate of both Harvard Business School’s Leading Global Businesses Executive Program and Stanford University’s Advanced Program Management.

Reflecting on his new role, Malay Joshi expressed enthusiasm about the potential of the Americas 1 market, stating, “I am eager to lead our skilled team and leverage technology to further elevate our client and community services.”

Based in New York City, Malay is also a part of Wipro’s Culture Council.
