A new Center of Excellence for Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been launched by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in partnership with the Indian IT company Wipro.
This Center of Excellence (CoE), which is situated in the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence on the IIT Delhi campus, will enable useful research in generative AI, according to a statement.
Subha Tatavarti, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro Limited, said, “We are thrilled to join with IIT Delhi to stimulate faster innovation in some of the most interesting new fields of technology. “This collaboration will not only improve our research and development capabilities in cutting-edge fields like generative artificial intelligence, but it will also put us in touch with a talent pool that will aid us in developing cutting-edge solutions to deal with both ongoing and new business problems.”
Following Wipro‘s recent pledge to invest $1 billion in AI innovation, this announcement was made.
The business added that the CoE would serve as a center for research and development, bringing together graduate students and instructors from ScAI with Wipro researchers. They are working together to address significant problems in the real world. Together, the Wipro CoE teams will use AI, ML (machine learning), and other technologies to develop innovative solutions.
The Yardi School of AI at IIT Delhi is headed by Professor Mausam, who stated: “We are thrilled to cooperate with Wipro to offer new learning and growth opportunities for our students. Our students will benefit from this Center of Excellence’s development by getting first-hand experience with how their technical skills translate to practical situations in business.
