Bengaluru-based Vahan.ai has collaborated with NVIDIA to fine-tune the Nemotron 3 Nano AI model for its voice-based recruitment platform, aimed at improving hiring for blue-collar workers.

The company trained the model using its proprietary dataset of human-corrected recruitment conversations, helping the AI better understand candidate interactions, answer questions and perform recruitment-related tasks.

Vahan.ai said the optimised model delivered nearly 6.7x faster time-to-first response and more than 3x lower end-to-end response latency compared with its earlier setup. The company also expects the smaller model to significantly reduce AI inference costs.

The AI recruiter currently supports English and Hindi, with Vahan.ai planning to expand into additional Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu and Marathi. The company aims to use specialised AI models to make recruitment faster, more affordable and accessible to workers across India.

The collaboration was facilitated through NVIDIA’s Inception programme, which supports startups working with NVIDIA’s AI technologies.
