Cognizant acquires Australian firm Servian By Elets News Network - 11 January 2021

Information technology firm, Cognizant has acquired Servian, an Australia-based business transformation consultancy specializing in data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), digital services and the cloud, for an undisclosed amount. Servian is Cognizant’s 10th digital acquisition announced since January of last year.

According to the company, the acquisition of Servian will significantly expand the integrated end-to-end digital transformation capabilities in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) to help customers migrate to the cloud and create digital products and services.


“Cognizant’s vast digital experience combined with Servian’s strengths as a leading technology partner in the region will unleash the full power of digital transformation for our Australasian customers,” said Jane Livesey, CEO of Cognizant Australia and New-Zeeland.

Cognizant‘s 1,200+ professionals in Australia serve over 110 clients, including Australia’s largest banks, insurers, retailers and communications companies.

More than 500 Servian consulting and technology professionals, primarily based in Australia and New Zealand, will join Cognizant, doubling the size of Cognizant’s cloud and data team at ANZ.

Founded in 2008, Servian has worked with more than 190 leading banking, telecommunications, insurance, retail and government companies in ANZ, including eight of the 15 largest ANZ companies.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.
