Indian telecom major Bharti Airtel and global tech giant Google have come together to offer digital solutions to small and medium businesses in India to help transform the country’s economy.
As per the agreement between the two companies, Airtel will offer G Suite–a set of apps like Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, etc–to small and medium enterprises as part of its integrated ICT portfolio.
“India, with its growing economy and adoption of digital services, offers one of the biggest opportunities to serve customers with innovative solutions. We are pleased to further strengthen our deep relationship with Google Cloud and build products and services aimed at transforming Indian businesses,” Gopal Vittal, Managing Director & CEO (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel said in a statement.
The pact between Google and Bharti Airtel will help them to develop synergies in order to drive growth in Indian economy. According to media reports, Airtel offers its services to over 2,500 large businesses and over 500,000 small and mediu businesses and startups in India.
