Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has set a new sales milestone by dispatching 24,609 units in January, marking a 92% increase from the 12,835 units dispatched in the corresponding month of the previous year.
This substantial growth in monthly wholesales is mainly due to the company’s robust sales in the domestic market, where it managed to sell 23,197 units, alongside exporting 1,412 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, highlighted the significant role played by the company’s MPV and SUV lineup in achieving this milestone. Notable models that contributed to these numbers include the Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Legender. Other models such as the Camry Hybrid, Glanza, Hilux, Vellfire, and the Rumion have also significantly contributed to the company’s growth narrative.

Despite the temporary suspension of dispatches for the Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Hilux due to certification issues with the diesel powertrain, TKM’s performance in January underscores its resilience and dominant position in the market.
