Ravi Pichan has been named Chief Information Officer of RBL Bank. He will be in charge of driving the bank’s technology strategy and will also help to create a technology innovation gateway to foster a culture of constant innovation throughout the organisation. Pichan has successfully managed complex portfolios of IT investments across organizations and geographies in his 28-year career in the BFSI industry, led technology strategies, and delivered transformation programs aligned with business strategy.

Pichan comes to RBL Bank from HDFC Life, where he was the Chief Information and Technology Officer. He has also held leadership positions at Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Capgemini, Barclays, and Bank of America.

R Subramaniakumar, Managing Director & CEO of RBL Bank, commented on the appointment, saying, “Pichan joins us with an extensive background in delivering technology solutions that are cost-effective, innovative, and aligned to business strategy, which is the need of the hour given the bank’s IT transformation.”

Pichan will be the driving force behind RBL Bank‘s digital transformation, which will include implementing agile and cost-effective solutions to improve operational efficiency, facilitating process automation and manual processing simplification across the bank, and establishing a technology innovation hub to foster a culture of continuous innovation.

Pichan graduated from Mumbai University with a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt professional.
