Marriott International is set to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, marking its first offshore unit in India. This centre will support Marriott’s various operations across its global enterprise in 141 countries and territories. The Marriott Tech Accelerator is also likely the first-ever GCC established in India by a major hospitality company.
While the company has not disclosed details about the size of the centre, senior state government officials indicated that Marriott will hire 300 people by the first quarter of the calendar year 2025.
This Tech Accelerator is an expansion of Marriott’s global technology team and will strengthen the company’s tech infrastructure, engineering capacity, next-generation solutions, and security capabilities across its worldwide enterprise. Marriott plans to start full-scale operations of its GCC by the first quarter of 2025.
