Leading communication solutions provider Bharti Airtel has appointed Amrita Padda as its new Chief People Officer. The appointment will be effective from 1 October, 2021. At her new appointment, She will report to Gopal Vittal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bharti Airtel.
As CPO at Bharti Airtel, Amrita will be responsible for handling the company’s human resource and help transform the firm into a digital services provider of choice.

Amrita had been associated with Hindustan Unilever for more than two decades, where she handled the Human Resources strategies. Prior to Airtel, she was the Chief People Officer for Unilever Marketplace. Earlier, she led Human Resources for Unilever Philippines and for their Global Procurement function.
Amrita succeeds Samit Deb, who resigned to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities outside of Airtel. “I would like to thank Samit for his contribution to Airtel and strengthening our People practices.
