Google has introduced its Personal Intelligence feature for Gemini users in India, marking a major step in making AI assistance more personalised and context-aware for one of its largest global markets.
The feature allows Gemini to securely connect with a user’s Google ecosystem, including Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Search, enabling the assistant to deliver responses tailored to individual preferences, activity, and stored information. Instead of relying only on general prompts, Gemini can now provide more relevant answers based on a user’s own data and history.
With Personal Intelligence, users can ask Gemini to retrieve specific emails, summarise personal information, locate photos, suggest travel plans, or combine insights across multiple Google services. The update is designed to make the AI assistant more useful for everyday productivity, planning, and decision-making.
Google said the feature follows a privacy-first model, with users able to choose which apps Gemini can access and disconnect services at any time. The company also noted that personal content such as emails and photos is not directly used for model training.
The rollout is currently available in India for paid subscribers of Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans across web, Android, and iOS platforms, with wider access expected in the coming weeks.
