ServiceNow Expands AI Push with Anthropic Partnership, Strengthening Multi-Model Strategy By Elets News Network - 29 January 2026

ServiceNow, Anthropic

Enterprise workflow software major ServiceNow has announced a new multi-year artificial intelligence partnership with Anthropic, just days after unveiling a separate collaboration with OpenAI. The latest deal underlines ServiceNow’s strategy of working with multiple leading AI players to offer customers greater flexibility and choice.

Under the partnership, Anthropic’s Claude family of AI models will be deeply embedded across ServiceNow’s AI-powered workflow products. Claude will become the preferred AI model across several offerings and will also serve as the default model for ServiceNow Build Agent, the company’s AI agent builder that enables developers to create agent-based workflows and applications.

The agreement also extends internally ServiceNow will roll out Claude to its 29,000 employees, giving engineers access to Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding-focused AI product, to support software development and productivity.

While ServiceNow did not disclose the financial value or duration of the deal, company leaders emphasized the strategic importance of tightly integrating AI into enterprise workflows.

“ServiceNow with Anthropic is turning intelligence into action through AI-native workflows for the world’s largest enterprises,” said Bill McDermott, Chairman and CEO of ServiceNow. “Together, we are proving that deeply integrated platforms with an open ecosystem are how the future is built.”

The announcement follows closely on the heels of ServiceNow’s recently revealed partnership with OpenAI, which gives customers access to OpenAI’s models within ServiceNow products. Addressing questions around working with competing AI providers, Amit Zavery, President, COO and CPO of ServiceNow, said the company is deliberately pursuing a multi-model approach.

“We don’t view these partnerships as competitive or mutually exclusive,” Zavery said. “Enterprise customers want model choice. They want the right model for the right job — while keeping governance, security, and auditability consistent on the ServiceNow AI Platform.”

For Anthropic, the deal adds to a growing list of high-profile enterprise partnerships. In recent months, the AI research lab has announced collaborations with companies such as Allianz, Accenture, IBM, Deloitte, and Snowflake, reflecting rising demand for enterprise-grade AI models.
