Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited announced the appointment of Narayan Choudhary as Chief Operations Officer, effective January 19, marking a strategic leadership transition as the company advances its manufacturing capabilities.

In his new role, Choudhary will spearhead manufacturing and operational strategies, driving efficiency, excellence, and transformation across all business verticals. He joins the company’s executive committee and succeeds C. Narasimhulu Naidu, who retires after over three decades of distinguished service in operations leadership at ARE&M.

Choudhary brings nearly 30 years of expertise in large-scale transformation programs across automotive and industrial sectors. His experience encompasses greenfield project development, technology introduction, supply chain systems, quality frameworks, and people management. Prior to joining ARE&M, he served as CEO and Business Head at Taco Punch Powertrain.

Expressing his vision, Choudhary stated he looks forward to building on ARE&M’s legacy while contributing to the company’s expanding global presence.

Harshavardhana Gourineni, Executive Director at ARE&M, welcomed the appointment as arriving at a crucial phase in the company’s manufacturing evolution. He highlighted Choudhary’s strong command over Industry 4.0 practices as instrumental in advancing operational excellence initiatives.

Gourineni emphasized that Choudhary’s expertise will add significant value to ARE&M’s “Factories of the Future” initiative, which aims to establish highly automated, digitally enabled, and globally benchmarked manufacturing systems that reinforce the company’s industry leadership.
