David Zinsner (Chief Financial Officer) and Michelle Johnston Holthaus (Senior Executive) have been named interim co-Chief Executive Officers at Intel after Patrick (Pat) Gelsinger stepped down as Intel CEO on December 1, 2024.

David Zinsner is the Executive Vice President and the CFO at Intel Corporation. He is responsible for managing Intel’s global finance team, which handles accounting, financial reporting, taxes, treasury, internal audits, and investor relations. Zinsner has over 25 years of experience, with a strong background in finance and operations within the semiconductor, manufacturing, and technology industries.

Holthaus, on the other hand, is the Executive VP and the General Manager of the Client Computing Group at Intel. She is responsible for the strategy, financial performance, and product development for Intel’s client technologies and platforms. She has more than 28 years of experience in the global technology industry. Previously, she led the Microsoft Global Account team, managed channel products, central marketing, and operations within Intel’s PC Client Group, and was the General manager of Intel’s Reseller Product Group.

Gelsinger served as CEO from February 2021 to December 2024. He has over 40 years of experience in the technology sector, with years in Intel’s engineering and executive roles. He managed the creation of technologies like USB, Wi-Fi, Intel Core, and Intel Xeon processors.

Known as the first Chief Technology Officer of Intel, Gelsinger began his career in 1979 with the firm. He is also the architect of the original 80486 processor and led 14 microprocessor programs. Gelsinger has an Associate degree from Lincoln Technical Institute, a Bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University and a Master’s degree from Stanford University, all in electrical engineering.
