Brijesh Singh has been named senior vice president and global artificial intelligence (AI) head for Wipro Enterprise Futuring by technology services and consulting firm Wipro Limited.

Wipro corporate Futuring provides clients with distinctly futuristic solutions for extensive corporate transformation as part of the company’s new business model, which will take effect on April 1, 2023.

In order to better match with clients’ evolving business needs and take advantage of new opportunities in fast-growing market categories, Wipro introduced four global business lines in February. According to the firm, the new model would emphasise the strategic growth sectors of cloud, enterprise technology, business transformation, engineering, and consulting.

Singh has more than 30 years of experience in the field of technology consulting. When he was a Senior Partner at Deloitte, he was in charge of advancing AI and data-driven change. Prior to that, he held positions as associate partner at IBM and senior director at Siemens as well as partner with Verizon Enterprise Solutions.

Singh’s hiring comes after Wipro invested $1 billion in AI and introduced Wipro ai360. With capabilities spanning cloud and partnerships, data, analytics, AI, design and consulting, and cybersecurity, Wipro ai360 will bring together the 30,000 Wipro experts in data analytics and AI with Wipro’s technology and advisory ecosystem from four global business lines, the IT services company announced in July.

According to Thierry Delaporte, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wipro Limited, “Artificial Intelligence is a fast-moving field.” “We anticipate a dramatic shift in the future for many industries, especially with the introduction of generative AI. New difficulties, new working methods, and new business models are all present. The Wipro ai360 ecosystem places responsible AI operations at the core of all our AI efforts precisely for this reason.

Singh has been employed by the organization twice; from 2005 to 2007, he worked for Wipro as a regional manager. He will be responsible for driving Wipro’s ai360 strategy, developing capabilities to support and accelerate AI adoption across Wipro’s entire portfolio, and providing clients with AI-first solutions in his capacity as the global head of AI.

“His appointment underscores Wipro’s commitment to integrating responsible AI into every platform, every tool, and every solution used internally and offered to clients,” the business said in a news release.
