Aflac has established a partnership with IT services provider LTIMindtree. Through this partnership, Aflac will undergo a digital transformation under the direction of the cutting-edge cloud-native services offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

In accordance with the agreement, LTIMindtree will be tasked with reconfiguring Aflac’s current on-premises applications. These programs are currently running on an unsupported platform.

AWS is given priority as the main solution in the transformation strategy. Utilizing reusable user interface elements and common business functions that are regarded as services is the foundation of this strategy. This technique enables the use of serverless components like Lambda as well as serverless capabilities from AWS technologies like Amazon CloudFront, AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and AWS Secrets Manager.

According to the business, by including these AWS components, the architecture of the solution is perfectly in line with the reputable AWS Well-Architected Framework. This framework is particularly renowned for its focus on security and dependability.

“The comprehensive core modernization expertise, migration tools and accelerators, and core-to-experience proposition of LTIMindtree bundled with the cloud-native architecture of AWS components and services will help Aflac fully harness the digital and cloud ways of working while allowing the user to efficiently traverse technology and operational diversities seamlessly and deliver positive business outcomes,” said Sudhir Chaturvedi, President & Executive Board Member, LTIMindtree.

By switching to AWS, Aflac will improve security for all of its users, including agents. According to the firm, the applications follow WCAG 2.1 standards for enhanced accessibility to a wider audience.

Recovery from disasters has increased availability by over 50%. The Total Cost of Ownership was reduced by 20% and the cost of app hosting was reduced by over 30% by switching to AWS.

The business revealed a strategic alliance with CYFIRMA in July. The alliance intends to enhance the XDR platform’s threat intelligence capabilities. It will support multinational corporations in identifying, evaluating, and managing potential risks and threats.
