India’s leading e-commerce marketplace, Flipkart, has announced that it has appointed Sridhar Govardhan as Senior Director and Head of Information Security.

Earlier, to joining Flipkart he worked with Wipro for 14 years. He started as a Senior Manager- Information Security in 2005 at Wipro. Before stepping down from Wipro he served as the Chief Information Security Officer.

In his new position, he will be based in Bangalore.

Govardhan holds a Masters’s degree in Technology from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He is also an ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer & Auditor and 22301 Lead Auditor.
