Qlik establishes AI Council to promote responsible AI adoption in enterprises By Elets News Network - 25 January 2024

Qlik

Qlik® has introduced its inaugural AI Council, demonstrating its commitment to advancing ethical AI development within the company’s mission and industry offerings. This initiative brings together a distinguished panel of advisors, including leading AI experts, to accelerate the responsible development of Qlik’s AI-driven product portfolio. The goal is to empower customers to leverage their data effectively for enhanced business outcomes while upholding ethical standards.

According to Qlik’s Generative AI Benchmark Report, 31% of senior executives plan to invest over $10 million in generative AI initiatives in the coming year, with 79% already engaging in generative AI projects. However, the report highlights the importance of establishing proper data governance as AI becomes more accessible across the workforce. Failure to do so could jeopardize the efficiency and integrity of business operations. The AI Council’s primary objective is to guide Qlik’s customers in navigating these challenges and promoting best practices.

The Council’s members will collaborate with Qlik to shape the company’s research and development direction, inform its product roadmap, and ensure that AI usage by Qlik’s customers prioritizes responsibility and ethics. Additionally, the Council will provide education to Qlik leaders and employees on harnessing the full potential of AI, offering insights into the priorities of business leaders tasked with demonstrating value from AI investments.

Mike Capone, CEO of Qlik, emphasized the strategic importance of the AI Council, stating, “Our goal is crystal clear: to enable our customers to harness AI in a way that’s not only transformative but also responsible.” This initiative reflects Qlik’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge AI solutions that are seamlessly integrated and governed, democratizing AI in an accessible and mission-aligned manner.

Data and analytics leaders worldwide will have the opportunity to hear from the AI Council at Qlik Connect, scheduled for June 3-5 in Orlando, Florida. This event, focusing on data analytics, integration, and AI, will feature Council members sharing insights on automation’s opportunities and challenges in data strategies.

Rumman Chowdhury, a member of Qlik’s AI Council, expressed excitement about contributing to the evolution of AI adoption, stating, “We’ve reached an inflection point where innovations like generative AI are impacting the world as the internet did. By taking responsible steps, organizations can enter an era of unprecedented innovation.”
