The investment round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Kleiner Perkins, WestBridge Capital, Battery Ventures, and Emergent Ventures, signaling strong industry confidence in the company’s vision.

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape computing, cloud providers are facing immense pressure to upgrade their networking capabilities to support AI workloads. Guru Chahal, partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, emphasized the importance of Nexthop AI in this evolving market. “The world’s largest cloud providers require next-generation networking to match the scale of AI-driven computing,” he said. “Nexthop AI is bridging a crucial gap in this $35 billion industry with its cutting-edge technology, deep expertise, and customized solutions.”

With hyperscalers investing billions annually in expanding their GPU and networking infrastructure—often surpassing two gigawatts of capacity—the demand for specialised, high-efficiency networking solutions has never been greater. Nexthop AI aims to address this challenge with tailored hardware and software solutions designed for seamless cloud integration.

Unlike conventional networking firms, Nexthop AI focuses on custom-built solutions that align perfectly with a client’s cloud environment.
