Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced the appointment of Manoj Gautam as its new Head of IT. In his new role, Manoj will spearhead the enhancement of the company’s technological framework and drive the digital transformation of corporate applications, aligning with the vision of MSIL 3.0.

Having dedicated over 18 years to Maruti Suzuki, Manoj’s contributions have been pivotal in shaping and executing IT strategies that align with the company’s goals. He succeeds Rajesh Uppal, who has transitioned to the role of Executive Committee Member after managing the HR and IT departments for over 39 years.

Manoj’s tenure at Maruti Suzuki began in 2005, during which he played a crucial role in developing the IT applications and infrastructure for the newly established Manesar Plant. His current areas of focus include Industry 4.0, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Prior to his long-term association with Maruti Suzuki, Gautam had roles at HMT Limited and Eicher Motors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from IIT Roorkee.
