HCLTech has announced opening of a cutting-edge test lab in Chennai, India, to allow global telecom infrastructure original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to test and validate 5G solutions.
The first of its kind in India, the facility is outfitted with high-end scanners that allow global OEMs to test large cellular base stations as well as small form factor antennas used in mobile phones, smart gadgets, health monitoring systems, and remote surveillance systems.

“We are dedicated to driving next-generation mobile telephony forward with the highest quality, performance, and technology levels quality, performance, and technology.” “We have a team of highly experienced and skilled engineers to test and verify cellular and non-cellular products with great precision,” said Vijay Guntur, President of HCLTech’s Engineering and R&D Services.

The lab is currently equipped to test and validate 5G telecom antennas for frequency bands up to 7 GHz, but it is scalable to test millimetre-wave frequency 5G infrastructure to assist OEMs and telecom service providers in measuring critical parameters quickly and accurately.
“These parameters help telecom infrastructure OEMs accelerate time to market, optimize cellular networks, and deliver seamless connectivity on voice and data,” Vijay Guntur added.
HCLTech is a global leader in engineering and R&D services, serving more than 100 of the world’s top 250 engineering R&D spenders.
