The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Government of India, has partnered with Kyndryl Solutions Pvt Ltd to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem. The collaboration aims to accelerate innovation and provide crucial support to startups, particularly in the manufacturing and IT sectors, by harnessing Kyndryl’s expertise in digital transformation and Generative AI.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, highlighted the significance of this partnership in driving a technology-led entrepreneurial ecosystem. He emphasised that Kyndryl’s global experience and enterprise solutions will help startups scale effectively and foster technological advancements across various industries.

As part of this initiative, startups will benefit from mentorship, access to infrastructure, and market integration opportunities. They will receive guidance on embedding their innovations into enterprise solutions across key industries such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, banking and financial services, oil & gas, and public sector enterprises. Kyndryl will spearhead dedicated programs designed to support AI-driven startups, digital product innovators, and entrepreneurs in their growth journeys.

Beyond market access, the initiative will provide structured mentorship in areas such as product development, cybersecurity resilience, and enterprise deployment. Through advisory sessions and industry workshops, startups will gain insights into enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. Furthermore, in collaboration with Startup India and DPIIT, Kyndryl will offer knowledge-sharing sessions, policy guidance, and assistance in accessing government incentives. The partnership will also facilitate international expansion opportunities, enabling startups to explore global markets.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director, DPIIT, along with a representative from Kyndryl, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

This strategic alliance reinforces India’s vision of becoming a global innovation hub. By integrating DPIIT’s structured startup support mechanisms with Kyndryl’s enterprise capabilities, the initiative is set to create a dynamic environment where startups can scale, innovate, and make meaningful contributions to economic growth.
