Bharti Airtel has expanded the responsibilities of Rahul Vatts, appointing him as Group Chief Regulatory Officer and Director – Corporate Affairs. He will continue to serve on the Airtel Management Board and will also join the board of the Bharti Airtel Foundation to align its initiatives with the company’s broader objectives.
A telecom industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, Vatts joined Airtel in 2020 as Chief Regulatory Officer. In his expanded role, he will oversee regulatory strategy, public policy, and corporate affairs functions across the organisation.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and The Wharton School, Vatts has extensive expertise in telecom regulations, spectrum management, digital policy, data privacy, and emerging technologies.
