The Nasscom Foundation has announced the appointment of Pravin Rao as its new Chairperson, succeeding Rostow Ravanan, who has concluded his tenure.
Rao brings over 35 years of industry experience to the role. He has previously served as Vice-Chairperson and Chairman of NASSCOM and was the Chief Operating Officer at Infosys from 2014 to 2021.

Expressing his views on the new role, Rao said he is “honored to take on this responsibility as the Foundation marks 25 years of its journey,” adding that the true potential of technology lies in expanding access and creating opportunities for all.

Outgoing Chairperson Ravanan stated that he steps down “with deep satisfaction,” expressing confidence that the Foundation will continue to drive meaningful social impact by making digital literacy and future-ready skills widely accessible across India.
The Nasscom Foundation operates at the intersection of technology and social impact, focusing on key areas such as digital inclusion, employability, women entrepreneurship, and strengthening the NGO ecosystem through technology-driven interventions.
