Intel has appointed Santhosh Viswanathan as Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, expanding his leadership responsibilities from India to the broader regional market under a unified structure.

Viswanathan brings over two decades of experience at Intel, having held leadership roles across multiple geographies. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Managing Director for Intel India, where he played a key role in driving the company’s growth and ecosystem partnerships.


Prior to this, he led Intel’s operations across Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, and held several regional leadership positions within the APJ region. Earlier in his career, he also served as Global Director of Operations in the United States, where he was responsible for sales strategy and planning for Intel’s global sales organisation.

In his new role, Viswanathan will focus on driving regional growth, strengthening customer engagement, and expanding Intel’s presence across diverse markets in Asia Pacific and Japan.

Commenting on his appointment, he said he is “excited to take on this expanded responsibility” and work closely with teams and customers to unlock new opportunities and create lasting impact. The appointment reflects Intel’s strategic emphasis on the APJ region, as it continues to scale operations and deepen its footprint in one of the world’s most important technology markets.
