Oracle Revamps Cloud Software to Enable AI Agents for Business Automation By cioNetworks - 25 March 2026

Oracle

Oracle has revamped its cloud software suite to integrate AI agents capable of automating complex business processes, marking a major shift toward agent-driven enterprise applications.

At the core of this transformation is the introduction of “agentic applications” within Oracle’s Fusion Cloud platform. These applications use coordinated AI agents that can reason, make decisions, and execute tasks autonomously, moving beyond traditional dashboards and copilots.

The updated system allows users to define desired business outcomes, while AI agents handle the underlying workflows—such as data collection, processing, and execution—reducing reliance on manual intervention and repetitive tasks.

Oracle has also enhanced its AI Agent Studio, enabling organisations to build, customise, and deploy AI agents using natural language inputs. The platform supports workflow orchestration, contextual memory, and integration with enterprise data systems, making it easier to operationalise AI at scale.

Additionally, new capabilities in the Oracle AI Database allow agents to securely access real-time business data across systems, ensuring accurate insights and seamless execution of enterprise workflows.

This move reflects a broader industry shift from AI as an assistive tool to AI as an autonomous operator, where intelligent agents actively manage and execute business functions. Oracle aims to help enterprises improve productivity, reduce operational complexity, and accelerate decision-making through this next generation of AI-powered software.
