Tata Communications has appointed Siddhartha Mundra as Chief Financial Officer, with the Board of Directors approving the appointment following recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee.

Mundra will join as Chief Financial Officer-Designate on February 23, 2026, before formally assuming full CFO responsibilities on May 1, 2026. Kabir Ahmed Shakir will cease to be CFO effective April 30, 2026.

Lakshminarayanan, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Communications, emphasized the strategic value of the appointment, stating that Mundra’s extensive expertise and strong leadership record make him a tremendous addition to the leadership team as the company continues driving transformation and creating long-term value for stakeholders.

Mundra expressed his commitment to the role, noting he is honored to join Tata Communications and looks forward to working with leadership to accelerate strategic ambitions, strengthen the financial foundation, and contribute to continued growth.

Bringing over 22 years of diversified experience, Mundra has expertise across corporate finance, strategy, business operations, private equity, and technology. He currently serves as Vice President in the Group CFO and Group Strategy Office at Tata Sons, a position held since December 2020.

His career includes leadership roles as Chief Executive Officer at Shankara Building Products Limited, Director at Fairwinds Private Equity, Associate Vice President at ICICI Venture, and Software Engineer at Cisco Systems.

Mundra holds a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad and a B.Tech in Computer Science from NIT Warangal, where he graduated with a Gold Medal, demonstrating academic excellence in technology.
