RMZ Group to Invest $10 Billion in GCC Park and 1 GW Data Centre, Creating 1 Lakh Jobs in Andhra Pradesh By Elets News Network - 22 January 2026

RMZ Group, Andhra Pradesh

In a major boost to Andhra Pradesh’s digital and industrial ambitions, RMZ Group has announced a massive $10 billion investment to develop a Global Capability Centre (GCC) Park and a 1-gigawatt hyperscale data centre in the state over the next five to six years.

The investment plan was unveiled at the World Economic Forum summit in Davos, where the New Delhi-based real estate and infrastructure major formalised its intent with the Andhra Pradesh government. The projects are expected to transform the state into a major hub for global enterprises, digital infrastructure, and advanced technology-led industries.

GCC Park and Data Centre in Visakhapatnam

As part of the proposal, RMZ Group plans to develop a large GCC Park at Kapuluppada Phase-1 IT Park in Visakhapatnam, spanning about 50 acres with a potential built-up area of up to 10 million square feet. The facility is aimed at attracting multinational corporations to establish their global capability centres, supporting IT services, engineering, R&D, and business operations.

In parallel, the group will set up a hyperscale data centre cluster in the Visakhapatnam region, with a targeted capacity of up to 1 GW, to be developed in phases. The data centre project will require 500 to 700 acres and is designed to support next-generation digital and AI-driven workloads, with a strong focus on sustainability and green power integration.

According to a state government statement, the data centre ecosystem will play a critical role in meeting rising demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and high-performance digital services.

Industrial and Logistics Park in Rayalaseema

Expanding beyond the IT and digital sector, RMZ Group has also proposed an Industrial and Logistics Park at Tekulodu in the Rayalaseema region, spread across around 1,000 acres. This facility will cater to manufacturing units, warehousing, and logistics operations, helping diversify economic activity and boost industrial growth in the region.

Collectively, the GCC Park, data centres, and industrial-logistics infrastructure are expected to generate around one lakh jobs across IT, data services, manufacturing, and logistics sectors, significantly strengthening employment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.

CM Naidu’s Global Tech Outreach at Davos

On the sidelines of the Davos summit, N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, held high-level discussions with global technology leaders to accelerate the state’s digital roadmap.

The Chief Minister met Arvind Krishna, Chairman and CEO of IBM, to discuss plans for a Quantum Computing Centre in Amaravati, the establishment of a Quantum Innovation Centre, and training one million youth in artificial intelligence skills.

He also interacted with Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, to review progress on the proposed Google AI Data Centre in Visakhapatnam and explore ways to fast-track its execution.

Earlier, CM Naidu addressed ‘The AP Advantage’ session organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), where he highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly policies, strong infrastructure pipeline, and focus on emerging technologies.

A Strategic Push for Digital Leadership

The RMZ Group investment, combined with ongoing engagements with global tech giants, signals Andhra Pradesh’s clear intent to position itself as a leading destination for GCCs, hyperscale data centres, AI, cloud computing, and advanced manufacturing. Officials said these initiatives align with the state’s long-term vision of building a resilient, innovation-driven economy with strong global linkages.
