Salesforce has announced the general availability of a reimagined Slackbot, positioning it as a personal AI agent for work built directly into Slack for enterprise users. The platform is now available for Business+ and Enterprise+ customers, with a phased rollout continuing through January and February 2026.
Slackbot is built on the same foundation of trust as Slack itself, respecting roles, permissions, and access controls while only surfacing information users are authorized to see. It functions as an out-of-the-box employee agent that understands individual users, their teams, and organizational workflows, capable of answering questions, surfacing files and decisions from conversations, creating content, scheduling meetings, and triggering automated workflows.
The launch forms part of Salesforce’s broader Agentforce 360 strategy, unveiled at Dreamforce, which uses Slack as the primary conversational interface for employees and AI agents to work together. Unlike other AI assistants that start from zero context, Slackbot arrives pre-loaded with institutional memory, connecting conversations, files, workflows, and Salesforce data in real time without requiring additional setup or training.

Parker Harris, Co-Founder of Salesforce and Chief Technology Officer at Slack, emphasized that Slackbot represents the front door to the agentic enterprise, bringing AI grounded in company data, workflows, and Slack conversations directly into the flow of work.
The company stated that one of the key barriers to enterprise AI adoption has been trust and lack of context, which Slackbot addresses by operating within Slack using the same visibility and access rules as employees.
