Truecaller AB’s Nomination Committee has proposed the addition of Aruna Sundararajan to its Board of Directors, with the election set to be finalised at the Annual General Meeting on May 23, 2025. Along with her nomination, the committee also recommends the reappointment of all existing board members, including Nami Zarringhalam, Alan Mamedi, Annika Poutiainen, Helena Svancar, and Shailesh Lakhani.

Aruna Sundararajan is a renowned leader in technology and public policy, with decades of experience in shaping India’s digital landscape. She previously held prominent roles such as Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Secretary to the Department of Telecommunications, and Chairperson of the Digital Communications Commission — where she was instrumental in crafting national telecom policies.

Her early work as Kerala’s first IT Secretary led major digital infrastructure and education initiatives across the state. Presently, she serves as Chairperson of the Broadband India Forum and sits on the advisory board of ICRIER (Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations). Sundararajan also holds board positions at Delhivery Limited, Info Edge (India) Limited, L&T Technology Services Limited, and NaBFID (National Bank for Infrastructure Financing and Development).

Truecaller’s Nomination Committee highlighted that Sundararajan is independent of the company and its significant shareholders, ensuring an impartial and experienced voice on the Board.

Commenting on the nomination, Kamjar Hajabdolahi, Chairman of the Nomination Committee, said, “Aruna Sundararajan’s deep understanding of the technology and regulatory sectors, combined with her experience from leading companies, will add tremendous value to Truecaller’s strategic direction. Members of the Nomination Committee include Kamjar Hajabdolahi (appointed by Nami Zarringhalam), Sven Törnkvist (appointed by Alan Mamedi), Mattias Lampe (appointed by Peak XV), and Alan Mamedi, representing the Board of Truecaller AB.
