Google has officially unveiled the second edition of its Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps program, aimed at empowering 20 high-potential Indian startups to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and accelerate the growth of their app-based ventures.

Backed by Google Play and in collaboration with the MeitY Startup Hub, this intensive three-month accelerator will offer participants exclusive access to Google’s advanced AI tools, personalized mentoring, and dedicated support from its team of engineers and researchers.

Paula Wang, Managing Director of APAC Partnerships at Google Play, expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “India’s startup ecosystem continues to inspire us. With this initiative, we’re excited to fast-track the growth of the next generation of AI-powered app innovators.”

She emphasized that the program isn’t just about AI adoption—it also delivers essential commercial insights, business development resources, and hands-on strategies to scale apps with confidence.

Startups that are either already leveraging AI or are in the process of embedding it into their platforms are encouraged to apply. The cohort will benefit from enhanced guidance in app development, user experience optimization, and Play Store performance analytics.

Google noted that the previous edition of the accelerator led to significant advancements among participating startups—boosting everything from product design to user engagement metrics.

Applications are now open and will close on May 15. The accelerator officially begins in July with an intensive boot camp week. Meanwhile, startups can join weekly virtual open forums every Thursday, where Google experts will address queries and offer deeper insights into the program.
