Thoughtworks has named Kaushik Sarkar as its new Regional Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and India (EMEI). In his new position, Kaushik will be instrumental in accelerating the company’s growth, deepening customer engagements, and advancing its AI-first software delivery and data engineering capabilities across a region known for its digital diversity and regulatory complexity.

He will also spearhead the expansion of Thoughtworks’ go-to-market approach, focusing on critical sectors such as financial services, healthcare, automotive, life sciences, public sector, and retail.

Commenting on the strategic appointment, Thoughtworks CEO Mike Sutcliff said, “The EMEI region presents a unique set of opportunities and challenges, with diverse digital landscapes and evolving regulatory standards. Thoughtworks’ agile, AI-centric, and people-first methodology positions us to guide our clients through this complexity.”

Before joining Thoughtworks, he served as President of Collabera Digital, where he led business across EMEA and APAC. With over 25 years in technology consulting, he has held senior roles at industry giants including Cognizant, GlobalLogic, IBM, and TCS, bringing a wealth of experience and global perspective to his new role.
