Cloudera has appointed Leo Brunnick as its new Chief Product Officer. With over 30 years of experience in technology leadership, Brunnick will collaborate with CEO Charles Sansbury and Cloudera’s leadership team to shape the company’s product and technology strategy.

“Cloudera understands the need for flexibility when deploying enterprise solutions,” said Brunnick. “It is the only data platform provider that seamlessly integrates on-premises and cloud-native AI and data services, ensuring a truly hybrid experience within customer environments. The company’s strong AI talent and expanding partner ecosystem were key factors in my decision to join.”

Before joining Cloudera, Brunnick was Chief Operating Officer at Naviga, a software company serving the media industry. Over six years, he led a global team of more than 600 professionals across product, marketing, engineering, and customer support. Earlier in his career, he held executive roles at Vignette, including EVP of Engineering, Chief Product Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer, until its acquisition by OpenText in 2008. A former U.S. Marine Corps officer, Brunnick holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s degree in general engineering from Harvard University.
