The name Ananta, derived from Sanskrit, translates to ‘infinite’ or ‘limitless,’ symbolising the vast potential of technology to drive progress. The campus will host teams from Android, Search, Pay, Cloud, Maps, Play, and Google DeepMind, further expanding Google’s operations in the country.

Sunil Rao, Vice President, of Global Delivery, Google Cloud India, emphasised India’s crucial role in Google’s global strategy, stating that the country is not just a key market but also a hub for innovation. Designed for seamless collaboration, the new office features neighbourhood-style workspaces, a central gathering space called Sabha, and accessibility-friendly tactile flooring. It also promotes employee well-being with walking and jogging paths for informal meetings and breaks.
