
Infosys is set to expand its presence in Hyderabad, specifically at its Pocharam facility. The expansion aims to add 17,000 jobs, raising the total workforce at the site to over 50,000. The facility currently employs around 32,000 individuals.
The announcement came after Infosys CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka met Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu during the World Economic Forum in Davos. The first phase of the expansion will require an investment of ₹750 crore and is expected to be completed within 2-3 years, creating 10,000 jobs in this phase.

Sanghrajka said, “Our partnership with the Government of Telangana reflects our shared vision of driving innovation, empowering communities, and strengthening the IT landscape.”

A statement from the IT Ministry read, “These new centres will contribute significantly to the state’s thriving IT ecosystem and further enhance Telangana’s status as a leading IT destination in the country.” The government is focused on developing talent, generating opportunities, and building alliances to drive economic growth, he added.
