Global technology company, HCLTech has officially acquired certain assets from Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE) Communications Technology Group (CTG). This move, first announced in May 2024, strengthens HCLTech’s position in the telecom services industry and boosts its engineering capabilities.

Some of the key benefits include:

• Wider global presence: HCLTech has expanded its reach in the Communication Service Provider (CSP) market across North America, LATAM, Europe, and Asia Pacific, including Japan.

  

• Stronger client relationships: The company now has direct connections with 20 of the world’s top 30 CSPs, advancing its growth in the telecom sector.

• Enhanced service offerings: The acquisition adds industry-leading IP, solutions, and systems integration services in areas like Business Support Systems (BSS), network applications, service cloudification, and data intelligence.

• Expert talent integration: Over 1,500 product engineering specialists from CTG have joined HCLTech, boosting its ability to support CSPs with agile methods and nearshore delivery services in countries like China, Japan, Spain, Romania, and India.
