
Apple has announced plans to open four new stores in India, located in Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai, on Friday. Later in the month, the company will introduce its first-ever “Made-in-India” iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max series devices.
In a press release, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail, Deirdre O’Brien, revealed plans to open more stores in India, inspired by the creativity and passion of the customers.

Back in April 2023, Apple launched its initial two stores in Delhi and Mumbai. “Future Apple Retail stores are planned in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai,” the statement added. According to sources, the stores are expected to open next year.

Apple also announced its plans to produce the iPhone 16 series smartphones in India. “Apple is now manufacturing the entire iPhone 16 lineup, including the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, in India,” the statement confirmed. Apple initiated iPhone production in India in 2017.

India-manufactured iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max devices will soon be available to local customers and for export to select international markets. The supply of the premium, locally-made iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max is anticipated to begin this month
