
Dinesh Kumar Shrimali has been named the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Tata Steel Ltd. Bringing over two decades of global leadership experience in cybersecurity, Dinesh joins Tata Steel after notable tenures at Welspun and UPL Ltd.
Upon his appointment, Dinesh shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I am excited to join Tata Steel, a leading force in the steel manufacturing sector, and to reconnect with the Tata group. I plan to utilize my past experiences to enhance our security measures at Tata Steel.”

In his role, Dinesh will oversee the implementation and management of information security strategies at Tata Steel. His responsibilities will include establishing robust security protocols, conducting detailed risk assessments, and formulating effective incident response strategies to mitigate cybersecurity risks. He will also ensure that the company complies with data protection laws and regulations, with a particular focus on the handling and processing of personal data.
