Musashi Auto Parts India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan’s Musashi Seimitsu Industries and a key player in the manufacturing of automotive transmission components, has appointed Naoya Nishimura as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This strategic decision highlights Musashi’s focus on strengthening its leadership and enhancing its footprint in the Indian market.

Nishimura, who brings over 20 years of experience within Musashi, including roles in Japan and North America, has been integral to the company’s operations, customer acquisition, research and development, and business strategy. His vast experience, particularly in R&D and business expansion, positions him well to lead Musashi India towards a future centered on high-quality products and innovation in electric vehicle (EV) technologies. In his capacity as CEO, Nishimura aims to extend Musashi’s reach in the EV markets of India and Africa.


Before this role, Nishimura served as the global chief R&D officer at Musashi. His promotion reflects Musashi’s dedication to evolving its leadership to meet the demands of the automotive industry, particularly in sustainable mobility.

Hiroshi Otsuka, President and CEO of Musashi, expressed pride in elevating a seasoned leader like Nishimura to the helm, emphasizing the importance of global experience, vision, and diversity in contemporary leadership. Nishimura’s expertise is expected to guide Musashi India through challenges related to rapid industry growth and capital-intensive financing needs.

Musashi India remains committed to advancing sustainable mobility, focusing on producing electric motors, PCUs, and gear systems that enhance EV range and performance.
