ACKO General Insurance has announced the appointment of Animesh Das as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), taking over from Sanjeev Srinivasan, who has been promoted to a role within the Board. Animesh Das, whose appointment awaits regulatory approval, comes with over ten years of experience in the insurance industry. He has been a pivotal figure in ACKO’s development, being one of the founding team members and most recently serving as the Chief Underwriting Officer.

Animesh expressed his excitement about leading the company during such a dynamic period, emphasizing ACKO’s commitment to its mission of demystifying insurance, enhancing transparency, and broadening accessibility for countless Indians by pioneering innovation and excellence in the insurance domain.

Varun Dua, CEO of ACKO Technologies, the parent entity of ACKO General Insurance, remarked on the transition, praising Sanjeev Srinivasan’s substantial contributions to ACKO’s numerous achievements and his role in the company’s rapid expansion and scaling. Dua expressed confidence in Sanjeev’s continued mentorship and guidance towards achieving the company’s shared vision and objectives in his new Board position.
