Microsoft to set up largest data centre at Hyderabad By Elets News Network - 08 March 2022

IT company Microsoft will set up its fourth data centre in India at Hyderabad, which would be its largest facility in India with an investment outlay of over Rs 15,000 crore over a period of 15 years.

The new data center is expected to be operational by 2025.


“It will be the largest data centre in India. The Hyderabad Data Centre is expected to be operational by 2025,” said, Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India.

The tech giant already has three facilities located in Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai.

The new data centre will augment Microsoft‘s cloud capabilities and capacity It will facilitate job creation across IT operations, facilities management, data and network security, network engineering, etc.

A data center is a facility that provides shared access to applications and data using a complex network, compute, and storage infrastructure.
