Vipin Kapooria, who served as Vice President of Business Finance at Flipkart, has been named the Chief Financial Officer of Zomato’s Blinkit.

In his announcement, Kapooria stated, “Super excited for the journey to build Blinkit alongside Albinder Dhindsa & team!” Dhindsa is the Founder and CEO of Blinkit.

Kapooria began his career at Birlasoft (India) Limited, handling accounts receivable as a Finance Executive. He later became the Financial Controller for the APAC region. He then moved to Whirlpool India, focusing on financial planning and analysis for its India operations. Afterward, he joined Yum! Restaurants International as Manager of Financial Planning, eventually becoming the head of financial planning.

At Flipkart, Kapooria started as Associate Director of Business Finance before rising to Director of the same division. He later joined Oyo as Vice President of Business Finance but returned to Flipkart as Senior Director of Business Finance. He is a chartered accountant who specialises in Accountancy and Financial Management from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. His skills include financial analysis, forecasting, managerial finance, accounting, auditing, banking, corporate finance, financial planning and many more.
