Paytm has brought on board Sidharth Shakdher as its new business head. Sidharth, who recently served as the Chief Business Officer at Ola Mobility, will collaborate directly with Paytm’s founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma to enhance the company’s growth trajectory while maintaining a strong focus on profitability.

Sidharth left Ola after nine months of notable accomplishments, which included launching a consumer loans section, bringing the open network for digital commerce (ONDC) food delivery service, and leading the company’s core mobility business to profitability. 

In addition, he created Ola Coin and the Ola Loyalty program and managed a number of growth, revenue, and marketing initiatives in both home and foreign markets.

Before joining Ola, Shakdher served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Disney+ Hotstar, where he was a member of the original leadership team and helped shape the platform’s marketing plans and global expansion. He has also served as category marketing leader at Reckitt Benckiser, where he was instrumental in launching Dettol in the US personal care market, and managing marketing and expansion for Amazon’s US third-party marketplace.
