The Arab Center for Artificial Intelligence (ACAI), based in Qatar, has entered into a landmark 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universal AI University (UAI), a premier Indian institution known for its expertise in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. This strategic alliance is poised to accelerate AI innovation, research, and education across Qatar and the wider region.
Under this partnership, ACAI and UAI will jointly establish a cutting-edge research center focused on AI and emerging technologies. They will also design advanced training and educational programs tailored to meet the increasing demand for skilled AI professionals in Qatar’s evolving job market.
Plans are underway to launch a wide array of online and short-term courses, alongside a future vision of developing a dedicated AI university campus. This campus will act as a regional hub for high-impact academic programs, interdisciplinary research, and tech-driven innovation across fields such as artificial intelligence, engineering, business, sustainability, and more—supporting Qatar’s strategic goal of becoming a knowledge-based economy.
Eng. Khalid Abdulrahim Al Sayed, Chairman of ACAI, emphasized: “This collaboration is a significant stride toward positioning Qatar as a global center for AI and technological innovation. The fusion of regional and international expertise will shape a knowledge-rich future.”
Echoing this vision, Tarandeep Singh Anand, President of Universal AI University, stated: “We are proud to collaborate on this transformative journey. Our mission is to equip future leaders, researchers, and creators with the tools to drive real-world impact through intelligent solutions.”
The MoU outlines mechanisms for resolving disputes, managing intellectual property rights, and conducting annual reviews to ensure sustainable and measurable progress. Detailed implementation agreements will follow in subsequent phases.
