
Digital payments provider PayU appoints Shailesh Paul as the new Chief Executive Officer of Wibmo, its financial technology division. Shailesh will be responsible for shaping the company’s strategic roadmap and boosting its presence in global markets.
With a focus on innovation, Paul aims to strengthen Wibmo’s offerings in secure digital transactions, fraud prevention, and identity solutions. His leadership is expected to drive the next phase of growth while aligning with regulatory developments and market shifts.
Shailesh brings close to two decades of experience in the financial sector. He spent over 18 years at Visa, where he held senior roles including Global Head of SMB Acceptance and Head of Merchant Acquiring for India and South Asia. His career also includes leadership positions at Mastercard and Standard Chartered.

Operating in India, the United States, and Indonesia, Wibmo delivers a wide range of digital payment services. These include payment authentication, risk management, and solutions for merchants and financial institutions.
PayU, which owns Wibmo, supports more than half a million businesses in India. Its platform enables online payments through over 150 methods such as UPI, cards, net banking, wallets, EMI, and more.
