US financial giant Morgan Stanley has inaugurated a new Global Capacity Centre in Mumbai—a 1-million-square-foot office in Commerz III, International Business Park, Oberoi Garden City, Goregaon. The new campus brings together all the operations of Morgan Stanley in Mumbai, under one roof, and can accommodate more than 8,500 employees.

The office incorporates leading technology and sustainability features to improve the productivity and efficiency of its workers. Prioritising a culture of modernity and collaboration, the office has different types of working environments, easy connectivity, and flexibility in meeting various accessibility needs. The campus provides employees with extended opening hours for amenities like food courts, an on-site fitness centre, and a health centre offering a full suite of services from acute care to speciality treatments along with a pharmacy.

Arun Kohli, Country Head, Morgan Stanley India, said, “Since we established our first Global Center in India over two decades ago, our operations have grown tremendously and evolved to become a key driver of innovation and transformation. The centres are critical to creating operational efficiencies and competitiveness for the Firm.”

A 1.1 million square feet space has been leased by Morgan Stanley, making it one of the largest commercial real estate deals in the country in the year. The lease spans a decade, and according to reports is valued upward of ₹2,122 crore.
