
Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL) disclosed plans on Tuesday for the establishment of a new warehousing complex in Phaltan near Pune, representing an investment totalling Rs 170 crore. Encompassing an area of 6.5 lakh square feet, the facility’s construction will occur in two distinct phases. The initial phase, encompassing 3.5 lakh square feet, is anticipated to become operational by the end of 2024, as per the company’s statement.
This new facility is part of MLL‘s strategy to manage the inbound logistics and distribution solutions for a varied range of clients in the automotive and manufacturing industries within the area.
The investment of Rs 170 crore, contributed jointly by the company and its partners, will be allocated across various stages for the development of this new warehousing space and the accompanying infrastructure.
Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of MLL, emphasized the expansion of their multi-client warehousing network across India to enhance capabilities and meet growing demands. He noted that the Phaltan facility is strategically positioned to boost the business environment for its esteemed clients in the region.
