Tech Mahindra and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have partnered to develop a sports cloud platform. With the addition of services catered to the demands of the audience, the platform will enable sports organizations to offer immersive and customized digital experiences and open up new revenue sources. Through the use of augmented reality, virtual reality (AR/VR), and metaverse gamification, the partnership will provide use cases pertaining to content and community engagement, customer data management and audience segmentation, and sports analytics. Additionally, it will offer immersive stadium-to-home fan experiences.

In order to facilitate Tech Mahindra’s access to AWS resources and services, the two firms inked a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) in September. This announcement is a part of that arrangement. Additionally, it enables both parties to promote corporate expansion and take part in cooperative go-to-market campaigns.
“Our partnership with AWS, which provides the most extensive and comprehensive cloud services, will revolutionize the way fans engage with their preferred sports, resulting in an engaging and dynamic visual experience for spectators.” Our goal is to create a customized, fan-focused community that goes beyond traditional sports by utilizing AWS to power Sports Cloud. According to Jagdish Mitra, chief strategy officer and head of growth at Tech Mahindra, “the platform is positioned to disrupt the sports tech industry by providing opportunities for sports organizations and franchises worldwide to create a delightful fan engagement experience that is built on content and community, leading to commerce.”

Real-time analytics, AI, ML, high-performance computing for AR/VR, enriched broadcasting, and Web 3.0 technologies will power the sports cloud offering, allowing massive amounts of digital data to be processed in real time and elevating the experience for sports fans. AWS native and specialized services like Amazon SageMaker, AWS Elemental MediaLive, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, and Amazon Managed Blockchain will be used by the platform.
