Lexmark joins forces with TCS to Drive Digital Transformation initiative By Elets News Network - 16 August 2023

Lexmark, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been chosen by Lexmark, a leading global provider of image and internet of things (IoT) solutions, for its strategic cloud-first transformation effort. By utilizing automation and infrastructure-as-code, TCS will create a new cloud operating model while moving Lexmark’s on-premise workloads to the public cloud.

Additionally, TCS is developing a digital core powered by SAP S4/HANA to streamline business processes and enhance user experience. TCS will also construct a cutting-edge command center to oversee crucial business processes throughout the operations stack, including apps, data, network, and infrastructure. This center will use TCS’ Machine First strategy to deliver services in a highly automated manner across all business processes.

According to Vishal Gupta, Lexmark’s chief information and technology officer, “Our partnership with TCS will help us build an integrated operations model embracing technologies like cloud and automation powered by TCS Cognix and MFDM, enhancing our business agility, user and customer experience, and productivity.”

To help Lexmark scale up its innovation ambitions, TCS will set up an agile innovation cloud. To enable a quicker time to market for innovative services and solutions, its team will collaborate with Lexmark’s product teams to speed up the ideation to execution process.

“We are thrilled to work alongside Lexmark on this strategic endeavor to change their apps and infrastructure portfolio, fostering business agility and a quicker time to market. According to V Rajanna, worldwide head of TCS’ Technology, Software, and Services Business Group, “Our Agile Innovation Cloud will enable ongoing ideation and innovation aligned to Lexmark’s growth and transformation imperatives.”

Under the direction of K. Krithivasan, the new chief executive officer and managing director who assumed responsibility on 1 June, TCS reorganized its organizational structure last month by establishing business groups based on industry sectors and geographical regions. With effect from August 1, senior executives appointed to lead these business groups, including banking, finance and insurance (BFSI), healthcare, retail, and energy, will assume their positions.
