Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the appointment of Bhawna Agarwal as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director for its India operations, effective immediately. She succeeds Som Satsangi, who is stepping down after a remarkable career spanning over 27 years with the company.

Bhawna, who has been with HPE since 2019, previously led the compute business and growth strategy. Over the last year, she also managed key verticals, including Account Management and Industry-specific initiatives. With more than 25 years of leadership across digital startups, media conglomerates, and tech giants, she steps into her new role with deep industry insight and vision.

“I’m honored to take on this responsibility and build upon the robust legacy left by Som. Our focus will remain on scaling innovation and delivering impact in the Indian market,” she said.

Marking a key milestone under the “Make in India” initiative, Agarwal and Satsangi recently joined Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to inaugurate HPE’s 6001st server manufactured in India, reinforcing the company’s commitment to local innovation and production.

Simultaneously, HPE has launched the HPE Private Cloud AI platform in India, designed to accelerate enterprise adoption of generative and agentic AI solutions. This next-gen AI cloud delivers an integrated, self-service experience that streamlines the entire AI lifecycle, from prototyping to large-scale deployment.

Powered by NVIDIA’s AI hardware and software stack, the platform is combined with HPE’s compute, storage, and GreenLake cloud services. The offering is built to simplify deployment, ensure continuous performance monitoring, and optimise AI operations through a unified interface and advanced observability tools. It also features resource orchestration and AIOps, and is available in flexible setups to support diverse AI needs.

This strategic launch positions HPE as a catalyst in India’s AI transformation journey, empowering organisations to bring real-world AI solutions to market faster than ever.
