Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, announced the new brand identity for its electric vehicle (EV) and emerging mobility solutions arm, Vida.

The company will launch Vida’s first electric vehicle on 1 July, 2022.

“Vida’s sole purpose is to create a positive impact on the world. We will soon unveil Vida platform, products and services,” said Munjal at the launch of the brand.

The company said that Vida’s first EV model will be produced at its green manufacturing facility in Chittoor and dispatches will begin later in 2022.

Pawan Munjal, Chairman & CEO, Hero MotoCorp, also announced a $100 million ‘Global Sustainability Fund’ to establish global partnerships, which aims to nurture over 10,000 entrepreneurs on ESG solutions. It will be headed by the BML Munjal University (BMU) and Hero MotoCorp.
